Site
Introduction
The Lickey Hills Country Park lies 11 miles south west of Birmingham City
Centre and covers an area of 212 hectares (524 acres). The Hills are covered by a
mosaic of mixed deciduous woodland, conifer plantations and
heathland.
All are rich in a variety of wildlife. The Park has achieved The
Green
Flag Award for its facilities and management every year since 2000.

Facilities
for Schools
Most school
visits are based from the School Room, which is opposite the
Visitor
Centre. This is used to accommodate belongings and for lunching during
rainy dinnertimes. Facilities
available at the Visitor Centre include information, cafe, toilets,
picnic area, adventure playground, souvenirs. On the park there is a permanent orienteering course, nature trail, and toposcope.

Car parking
Car parks are located in Warren Lane (Visitor Centre), Rose Hill (Golf,
tennis, bowls), Monument Lane (Beacon Hill, Toposcope). All car parking
is free of charge.
